![]() ![]() In order to actually be P2W you’ll need to spend like $1000 because just spending $10 while giving you an advantage won’t place you above the blasters who farm 15 hours a day. These last a month each and give you a few legendary gems and other things that help. In fact even people who spend say it’s not worth ever buying the currency most spenders suggest only buying the battle pass ($5) and maybe the boon do plenty ($10) every once in awhile. ![]() The payment aspect is primary for leaderboards and PvP. ![]() You can beat everything PvE with just level 2 legendary gems which are pretty accessible as a F2P if you’re willing to grind. Paying players will be able to move through these faster but from all I saw from some people who played hundreds or thousands of hours in the beta they beat all content in the game without spending anything. There are some walls later for max difficulty content, similar to normal Diablo games (like climbing the Torment Ranks), that will require grinding for drops. There is no wall for the vast majority of the game (levels 1-60 will take most players 20-30 hours with grinding and there are no pay walls anywhere in this setting). If I pretend this game is something it isn't (it isn't Diablo 4 and isn't pretending to be) then my quality of life will go down when I am disappointed that this is not D4. If the gameplay is halfway decent, it'll be a great thing to do while I poop or laying in bed or have 30 minutes before something (which is too much time to do nothing but not really enough time to start gaming) and my quality of life will go up. It's the same as D3, you get your items, you level up your gems, you continue to get paragon, and you push for higher numbers until getting 17% more power on your character becomes unreasonable and you stop. If you hit a pay wall when you can feel like you continue progressing, that isn't dramatically different then in D2 when you hit a level where additional skill points add little to your build and you have the required items to do what your build is supposed to do, playing more doesn't have a particularly meaningful impact on your progress. ![]() Elder Scrolls Blades is probably more than that, and I'd expect D:I to be at least as good as blades. Games like this can give a solid 20-40 hours of decent fun for free. Last updated at 14:00:17 UTC Weekly Help Desk RAGE Loot Thread Trade Thread ![]()
